As the warmer months approach, there’s no doubting the need to get in to shape. Here in Australia, we hit the beach like it’s going out of fashion! We want to feel comfortable about getting our kit off when we jump in to the water, but also feel fit and healthy when holidaying with family. Cardio can work wonders if you do it right. The good news is you don’t have to spend an hour on cardio each day to see the effects. In fact, studies show high intensity training can burn more fat than longer stints of less intense cardio. So simply set aside 15 minutes a day to do some intense training, such as interval sprints, and you could well be on your way to shedding those extra kilos.
Be wary of sports drinks
Many gym goers opt for a cold glass of water with a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon to keep them hydrated after an intense workout. While drinking plenty of water after exercising is essential for replacing fluids, it doesn’t go a long way to keep you full. If you’re looking for an easy pre or post workout meal, our shakes are easy to drink and nutritious.
